Rewire Studio · Capture
Arm lanes, monitor inputs, and record into Arrangement. Takes land in project media so you can edit, stem, or process immediately.
How it works
A practical loop — not a feature checklist.
01
Choose the lane and input path. Watch meters before you commit.
02
Transport-linked capture writes into the arrangement while you perform.
03
Takes land in project Media / Recordings — trim, move, or duplicate on the timeline.
04
Add devices, send to stems, or bounce when the take is the one.
Inputs
Input meters and arm state keep recording honest — know you're hot before the take is ruined.
Timeline
Recorded audio becomes arrangement material immediately — same editing as anything you dragged from the Library.
After
Send a take through stems, stack devices, or export the section — recording is the start of the Studio loop, not a dead end.
In the same DAW
Studio is one product — these views share tracks, mixer, and devices.
Timeline
Arrangement View is the linear timeline where songs take shape. Place audio and MIDI clips on tracks, set loops and tempo, and keep the mixer beside you while you build structure.
Clips & scenes
Session View is a clip grid for sketching and performing. Tracks run as columns, scenes as rows. Fill slots, launch a scene, and keep returns and Main sticky while you explore — without committing every idea to the timeline first.
Notes
Open the piano roll on a MIDI clip and reshape notes without leaving Studio. Draw, select, or slice; fold to scale; ride velocity and probability; or let the Studio agent sketch a pass you still own.
Levels
The mixer isn't a place you escape to — it's a rail beside Arrangement and a strip under Session columns. Balance, mute, solo, and send without breaking the idea.
Plugins
Every track has a device chain. Load Rewire devices and scanned VST3s, open editors, audition while the transport runs, and bounce in place when a sound lands.
Separation
Stem sessions turn a source into focused layers inside Studio. Mute, solo, and level each stem, then pull pieces onto arrangement tracks when the idea lands.
